My Journey into Coding: Inspired by Iron Man
Published on:
I’ve always wanted to learn how to code ever since I watched Tony Stark introduce J.A.R.V.I.S. in Iron Man. Creating something so intelligent, responsive, and futuristic sparked my imagination. I remember sitting in awe as Stark interacted seamlessly with his creation, using nothing more than his voice and gestures. It was more than a cool gadget but something that could make me superhuman
At the time, I had no idea how to start, nor did I understand what coding entailed. To me, it felt like a superpower reserved for geniuses. However, my current studies of parameters, variables, data structures, and more are expanding my knowledge to a point where creating this personal superpower is far more achievable.
Taking My First Steps
This website is my first project related to coding and it took about 5 days and 80 hours to get a grasp of what CSS, HTML, and Javascript are. Just getting started was the key after I took a college course that sparked my initial curiosity. This class I took called Web Technology, was an extremely introductory course only getting into the structure of templates, etc. The design process it took these past few days to create this has opened my eyes to what's possible when it comes to just these three languages and what I can make especially when it comes to the idea of creating a new business.
Looking Ahead
My next project given a few days to rest and recover will consist of understanding chatbots and looking into GPT, Llamma, and Gemini as I do want to create my neural network and integrate them into my life somehow like a personal Alexa but that has way more accessibility to help me solve real-world issues and design somehow. Thinking about it puts into perspective my ambition but also the reality that it won't be some quick thing I'll do but a long project, either way, I'll end up somewhere.
